The April 10, 2018 meeting of the Central New York Car Club Association was called to order at 7:00 PM by Dennis Connor, President.

Dennis introduced some people from the Community Action Partnership. They talked about a Road Rally in Madison County. They are a charity. They partner with families & children that may need help with housing issues, transportation, food, etc. They have various programs. They will cap off the rally at 50 cars.  Date is May 19th

Mike Bird spoke about the Marcellus Crystal Ball Cruise. Date is May 19th.  Meet at 4:00.  Would like 80 cars. Load up around 6:00 and go through town on the way to the ball.  100% voluntary.  Driver gets t-shirt.  See flyer. You will need to provide a copy of your driver’s license & insurance card in order to drive (send in ahead of time).  Please send picture of the car in ahead of time as well.

Ed Suchon spoke about the Motorama. It went very well. He would like to thank the volunteers. The Best of show was 1951 Murray Pedal car (street legal). It will be displayed at the Nationals.

Regarding the Nationals – They are looking for Corvettes to do a display in a spot (grassy area by stage) for the 65th anniversary of Corvettes. They would like one vehicle from the years 1953 to 2019. They are sold out of camping sites.   There may be a few dry camping spots available. Call Right Coast for more information. 

Schedules are now available. Make sure to get them out where they can be seen.

Jim Ennis spoke about the Ride For Regan fund raiser on Saturday, May 12th.  See attached flyer.

Please remember to bring or send to the meeting, a 3” logo on fabric, a patch, or cardstock from your car club and give to Al Finecchiaro so that he can create a board for the Nationals.

A new club out of Watertown, Mutt Monkey Circus, was voted into the Association.

If you have not yet paid your Car Club Association dues, remember that there is a late fee of $5.

The Association encourages all car club members to join the SEMA Action Network. Membership is free, and you will be kept informed on all upcoming legislation and how it impacts our hobby.

The Treasurer’s report was read and placed on file.

The 50/50 of $36 was won by Keith of Right Coast, and was donated back to the Association.
