OCTOBER NEWSLETTER

The October 13, 2020 meeting of the Central New York Car Club Association was called to order at 7:05 PM by Dennis Connor, President.

Ryan Beckley, now with OCC, spoke regarding wanting to organize a show event at the college. It would be sometime in the beginning of June 2021. They would like to raffle a car. He is looking for a vehicle they can restore.  He can be reached at 315-498-7200 or r.j.beckley@sunyocc.edu. He also will be starting a restoration class at OCC in the fall of 2021.

The position of Vice President will be put up for vote at the November meeting.  Mike Mastracco was nominated and seconded.  We will also need to think about nominations for President for next year, as this is Dennisí last year and he will not be running for re-election.   He would also like volunteers to take over the running of the hospitality room at the Nationals.  We will need about four people.  Duties will include getting the coffee pots, sugar, creamer, picking up donuts, delivering drinks a couple time a day, etc.  They will also need to store supplies.

Frequently, people call for cars for commercials or movies, or for photos, but they usually call at the last minute.   Dennis would like to create of list of cars he can call upon as needed.  Please complete attached form if you are interested in being one of these vehicles.

Remember that club dues renewals will be coming up.  Dues will be increased to $35 for 2021. Also please remember to complete the form.  Will need a new form from all clubs.

The Association encourages all car club members to join the SEMA Action Network. Membership is free, and you will be kept informed on all upcoming legislation and how it impacts our hobby.
